This blog has been long-neglected. Not for any lack of thought on my part, but because much of my thinking has been going on in the background while things that required doing demanded my time more urgently. I am pleased to have the desire and the time to be back at a keyboard and writing this morning. Lord, may I be single-minded, sincere, and constant in my love and service for you. May I teach your way diligently to my children, and may we all never stray from it.

Thank you for this testament to what The Lord is able to help us, as His children, to do through His son. I thank Him that you and their father are the parents of those precious children in the beautiful photo on their path. I thank Him for your compassion, heart, and wisdom to do this most awesome task.

Thank you so much for saying so eloquently what I have been feeling this past week. I, too, never got the chance to meet Adam in this life. But, also like you, many people that I love and respect knew him and thought a LOT of him. Thank you again for your wonderfully poignant words and lessons learned. Have a Christ-filled day!

What if you have parents who are separated and live together? What if they never really taught you about God. And so as a young cgmhild I was bad. In older age I thought every boyfriend was my husband even some were others. I never knew what I know now to be trained up. Financially I can't move out. Cause I'm horrible with money. My ex boyfriend told me I'm gonna be sa horrible mother. Cause I get lost all the time. I pray I know God And to be with him always

Caroline, you can know God. It's not too late to learn. There are many people (including myself) who would be more than happy to study with you and help you learn. How can we get in touch with you?

A wonderful list! So well said and all so true. May He continue to bless you and all your family and may His love for us continue to give Adam's family strength in their grief.

I, too, never had the privilege of meeting Adam Smelser. But I have been touched deeply by him and his family over the past week. I have spent much time in prayer and meditation for the same reasons that you stated above. I desire for my children to have the same unashamed love for our God and zest for life that Adam clearly did! I desire for them to know who they are, to Whom they belong, and not feel the need to make excuses for it.

I sat down to compose a new blog post today, planning to use the wonderful reply of Mr. Smelser's. I even contacted the gal who drew a beautiful doodle art of his reply, and was going to use her picture in my post. Then, I thought to check Lindsay's blog. How amazing it is to me, that we Christians are all so connected by His sweet spirit!
